Child Swimming Lessons:
Our courses run alongside school term times Tuesdays and Thursdays between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, each class is 30 minutes in duration and the time allocated is dependent on your child’s swimming ability. Terms and Conditions:
-Overshoes must be worn in the changing room and poolside at all times unless you remove your outdoor shoes. The box is kept on the bench by the changing rooms. Please return them unless they are ripped. -All courses must be paid for in full, in advance of the first lesson. -Once a course or lessons has been paid for, no refunds can be made unless absence is caused by a serious illness which must be confirmed by a doctor's note. -The club reserves the right to cancel a lesson or course at any time. In the event that a lesson is cancelled the swimmer will be credited with the amount for that lesson which will automatically be deducted from the cost of the next course of lessons. -Each swimmer must register with the front desk in reception at the start of each lesson. -If a swimmer has a medical condition, disability or any additional needs, this must be stated on the booking form. Any changes to a swimmer's circumstances must be communicated to the leisure centre at the earliest opportunity to ensure that up-to-date records are maintained. -The use of camera or video photography or mobile phones is strictly prohibited at all times within the leisure centre, unless prior approval has been sought. - Swimmers should only change in the changing rooms provided. -For health and safety reasons long hair should be tied back or a swimming cap worn and jewellery should not be worn during lessons. -All under 8's must have a responsible adult that remains in the leisure centre at all times. -The club will not under any circumstances, accept responsibility or liability in respect of any damage to or loss of any goods, articles or property of any kind brought into or left at the leisure centre. -During the standard operation of the swimming lessons, patrons wishing to watch family or friends who are participating must do so only in the designated spectator areas of the facility. Parents of swimmers should never distract the swimmers or the instructor during a lesson. -Queries regarding the lesson programme or an individual swimmer's progress should be directed to the leisure centre reception which will then be passed on to the teachers and the swimming lesson coordinator who will respond to the customer. -Places will initially be allocated to those swimmers already on the lesson programme. To secure a place for the next course on the allocated class, payment must be received no later than the specified payment date. -Class numbers are restricted by the club to ensure a quality teaching environment and are based on Swim England Safe Supervision for Teaching and Coaching Swimming Policy. -The club reserves the right only to accept a swimmer into a class being taught at the level appropriate to them. -The club reserves the right to cancel a course and refuse to re-book a swimmer onto a course if the swimmer or their parent displays unacceptable or inappropriate behaviour, including failure to comply with these terms and conditions. -If a swimmer or the parent of a swimmer has chosen the wrong course for the ability of a swimmer and an alternative class is offered and not accepted a refund will not be given. -Swimming ability and speed of progression will vary depending upon the swimmer. -The lesson programme is typically a 12 week programme delivered as 2 x 6 week courses with a 1 week break at Half Term. Variations of this structure will be clearly advertised to parents ahead of the beginning of term. -The club's swimming lessons follow the 'London Borough of Bexley School Term and Holiday Dates' -New simmers can join a course at any point subject to availability and swimmer ability. -Swimmers who have achieved all of the outcomes within their current swimming stage will be moved onto the next level/stage at any point throughout a course, subject to availability. -Please don't allow children to swim if they have diarrhoea or have had diarrhoea within the past 48 hours. -Please don't allow children to swim for 14 days after having been diagnosed with Cryptosporidiosis. -Please ensure you/your children shower before swimming and wash hands after using the toilets/facilities provided. -Please ensure that your children use the bathroom facilities prior to entering the pool and ensure that children take appropriate bathroom breaks during the lessons. -Please ensure that children wear suitable swim wear at all times. -If you have any queries regarding these terms and conditions please contact a member of staff and they will be happy to assist as best they can. |
